We will be discussing this at tomorrow's Board Meeting. It's always the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Anybody interested in being Rally Master can contact me or Jamie Kavalieros.

No need to have the rally, just set up the lunch date and send me the prize. 8)

OK, I don't know anything about rallies but would like to try and participate in some chapter events. Is this something a first-timer could do and be welcome at?

Absolutely... the rally we are talking abut here is a kind of scavenger hunt (not a race with the Sebastien Loeb type) where you are given a set of instructions that are "supposed" to lead you to the end point (correct JT?), usually a restaurant where everybody has lunch afterwards. Along with the instructions there are a about 100 questions for which you will find the answers along the road. For example: who is depicted by the mosaic on the fire station....Answer was Washington down in Lambertville.

So long story short, you need a driver, a passenger and a divorce laywer if the passenger happens to be a spouse. Kidding apart, it is a great way to spend a Sunday morning driving in a nice area and meeting other BMW enthusiasts.

I am sure others will chime in too.

Its one of the first things my wife and I participated in the club 8 years ago and we love it. I highly recommend it. You'll have some frustrations when you miss a clue... and you miss some but everyone misses a few. Some of us even miss the directions and I have been pointed out by MTROIS for our horrible DNF last year.

Even the best of us make mistakes. We're shooting for our 3rd Rally win so watch out.

We have one volunteer to help organize and run the rally, but he needs some help. Anyone out there interested?

Of course, but this piece of info will help decide if one can help or not.

We really want to participate in the rally so that means we wouldn't be able to volunteer to help out, right?

Yeah, that would probably be an unfair advantage.
