Has anyone heard anything about going to the NY auto show. I really enjoyed last years early showing and would like that to happen again. It is on the weekend of the 18th of April and I need to plan on taking off. Some new models are shown this year and need to begin to shop for my next one.

The NYIAS event is sponsored by the New York Chapter. They traditionally extend the invitation to our members as well. I don't recall whether we have been approached yet this year--the event is not yet posted on the NY Chapter website (http://www.nybmwcca.org/).

I am sure the news will be repeated here as soon as we hear anything.

If you can join us on March 29 for the VDC tour, I highly recommend you attending. You will get a chance to get a sneak peak of most of the cars before the auto show.

I will be representing BMW USA again at the auto show this year 04/21 from 10 AM - 4 PM. Make sure you come say hi to me if any of you go. I'm usually stationed by the ///M models...

If you are interested in attending this year's NYIAS with the BMW CCA, please read the following from the NY Chapter:

Event date: 19 Apr 2014

2014 New York International Auto Show
BMW will host a special preview for club members on Saturday, April 19th 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
In order to participate in this event, members will need to do the following:
You MUST purchase your tickets in advance from the Jacob Javits Center website
($15.00 adults, $6.00 children under 12)

Email your Name, Club ID number, and the names of your guests (limit of three (3) per member) to autoshow@nybmwcca.org.
Example: Club Member Joe Smith, #123456, guests Bob Smith and Tom Jones.
Your name will be on the list at the entrance.

Arrive at the North Concourse level, upper doorway of the Javits Center
(10th Ave between 33rd and 34th Street) by 8:15 a.m on Saturday April 19.

Bring your BMW CCA Club ID; you will need to show it in order to enter the event.

The event starts at 9:00 a.m. If you arrive late you will not be able to attend the show.

PLEASE, AS GUESTS OF BMW USA, HAVE THE COURTESY OF REMAINING WITHIN THEIR EXHIBIT FOR THE ENTIRE PRESENTATION

Paul, if my family member is a connected relative member of the CCA, does he count as another member or a guest only?

Also, will we be able to view the rest of the exhibits at the show after the presentation?

When will registration end?

FYI There is a package deal for the NY waterway ferry. For 31 dollars you get a round trip ferry ticket and the NYIAS ticket. I broke it down and it includes a $2 discount as the ferry is $9 each way.

When will registration end?

If he is a CCA member, then he is a member. If not, then he is a guest. Please follow the instructions of the NY chapter. They ask that members and guests to stay together at the BMW display until the meeting is over. After that you're free to visit the entire exhibition. You will have plenty of time to see the other displays.
