e39 cup holders--any options?

Post by brewsterE30M3 »

OK I had enough of those poorly designed e39 cup holders. Are there any suitable after market or upgraded options available? I looked at the one that BAV Auto sells, however I really would like to fit two holders, not just one. Any suggestions here? or do I just settle for a single BAV Auto holder.

I JUST FOUND WHAT APPEARS TO BE A SUITABLE CUP HOLDER FOR BOTH MY e39 AND MY e30 @ www.ultimatecupholders.com Located in Annandale VA. and only $24.95/each.

Check it out

TIA,
Bruce D. :D

I have them and they are awesome. Highly recommend them. I also have the tec one that sits in the middle door behind the shift lever, but I do not like it. It gets in the way of shifting, and makes noises.

Get two of them!

I have these in my E30 and they work well; they hold plastic bottles or cups fine, and are quick to remove before heading out on track.

I use the cupholders from BMW that attach to the door pockets on my M5. They have worked quite well.

I have the single cupholder from http://www.tecaccessories.com/products/product.php?II=1 and it's OK. It does accommodate larger beverages and Snapple bottles, but, as you mentioned, it's only a single one.

You guys who need cupholder should be paying attention to the road and not drinking. I have NO cupholders in my car.

So what do you do in your car besides driving? No Music, no talking, nothing?

just music no talking, if you have to zigzag through the turnpike, because of the coffe swilling LLBs (left lane blockers), you need to concentrate. It's similar to autocrossing every morning, except for the speed, hehehe.

This was the same point the engineers over in Deutschland seemed not to grasp for many years: I want to be able to transport a full coffee cup, even if I never touch it en route (which I do not). My office has dreadful coffee and no amount of implicit finger-wagging from BMW can change that! :P
