FS: 1976 BMW 2002 with all the best upgrades

Post by cholewski »

Hey everyone,
I’m selling my 1976 BMW 2002 which I acquired in 2012. This car has had extensive restoration work done over the years. After purchasing the car, I realized the body was too rusty, and I was able to acquire another 1976 rolling chassis that had the added benefit of a sunroof. This chassis was sandblasted, all dents were removed, and then it was given a fresh coat of Charmonix White paint. All mechanical components were then transferred into the freshly painted chassis, and during this transition many upgrades were performed, including:

Mechanical
- 5-speed transmission from an e21
- Weber dual barrel carburetor
- Sports Headers
- Ireland Engineering Sports Exhaust
- Front Disc Brakes
- H&R Springs, 2” lowered
- Anti-Roll bar in engine bay
- New brake lines

Exterior
- Turbo-style front spoiler
- Turbo-style fender flares

Interior
- Turbo 3-spoke steering wheel
- Recarco Bucket Seats
- Reupholstered Rear Seat
- New carpet set
- 2002 Embroidered front floor mats

The car was recently serviced by Kiceniuk Automotive, a local BMW specialist. Adjustments were made to the ignition system, timing, and fuel system. The car is runs and drives great, no mechanical flaws at all. All of the electronics, lights and gauges work properly, except that the blinkers do not work.

I have the Turbo rear deck lid spoiler painted in matte black that will go along with the car when sold, I just never installed it.

Of course, there are flaws...
- There is some surface rust is appearing in a few spots on the roof of the car.
- The headliner has not been installed
- Some of the interior chrome trim parts are not seated properly
- Some of the exterior chrome parts are dented
- I have the original rear chrome bumper, but its just not installed on the car. I had planned on buying a slimmer rear bumper, just never got around to it.

I'm placing some photos here, but you can VIEW THE FULL, HIGH-RES PHOTO GALLERY HERE > https://photos.app.goo.gl/hMVSCX9S57YVDFqj8

Asking $25,000
