Condensation in headlights

Post by jlnmd »

I have a 1994 740iL (E32). After driving in rain, I notice water droplets inside the driver's side low beam headlight and fog light. The headlight condensation dries up on its own in a day or two. The foglight water persists.

Any thoughts??

Thank you.

Have either of the lenses been replaced? Was the seal replaced with it?

I just replaced both headlight lenses on my 1995 740i (one was cracked). There shouldn't be water in either. The headlight likely dries out from the heat produced by the lamp. The fog light doesn't run as hot.
