So, the manual transmission in my E46 323i decided to remove 2nd gear from its repertoire this evening. There's also a rumbling while coasting in neutral. Odd symptoms, neither very promising.
Lots of decisions on my plate here - not sure I can justify the cost of exploratory surgery or a swap. That said, if anyone has a spare 5 speed from an E46 323 or 328 taking up space, please let me know.
