COMPRESSOR

Post by Kritter »

I need a decent portable air/tyre compressor. 12v and 120v would be best but let me know if you've a suggestion for either. Tx.

If you want another recommendation, I'm pretty happy with the Viair 88P Portable Air Compressor that I bought a couple of months ago. It's 12V only, though. It attaches to the battery terminals directly rather than plugging into the 12V outlet. It runs about twice as fast (about 5 seconds per pound), and much more quietly, than my previous portable compressor which was a TruckAir. That one made a racket but worked well enough for years.

I recently bought this one from HD for my father in law.

He likes it alot because it is both 12v and 120v. It also will stop at the pressure you enter in on the display. How accurate I can't say but is a neat feature- start it, walk away and come back after a coffee and unplug.

It is fairly cheap and at all HD stores.
