Hi everyone! My M328is w/ M52 has a bad head gasket due to overheating. Coolant level keeps dropping ever so slightly and I have a little bit of water rolling off the dipstick. I have not driven the vehicle since to minimize damage. Other than wheels and exhaust the car has always been stock (those parts came from an M3).
I live in Ocean County and am hoping a fellow BMW CCA member has the know how and access to the special tools required to change out the head gasket. I have always done my own repairs with the help of my Bentley Manual but this job seems very technical. Im not afraid to take the head off, but i am when it comes to putting it all back together. I am also looking forward to gaining some more experience in helping with the repair.
I am really hoping i can have this 328is back on the road and in time to finally get to enjoy some casual open course track driving and maybe an autocross session... especially after attending a track meet at the Summit Point Motorsport Park!
Thanks!
