Paul,
We will miss you. Enjoy your retirement and move - think of us in the winter as we shovel our snow and you decide whether to have another beer or a mojito. Hope you can come back next year when we have our 5One anniversary celebration.
Cheers,
Jeff

Re: Approved Helmets for 2020 Schools?
John, Glad you are looking forward to the return of our driving events. We are too - I just wish we had guidance on when, and how, we will be allowed to operate. As to your question, yes you do need a full face helmet for Driver Schools at NJMP. At this point, you should buy a Snell2015 helmet. It w...

Don't know if you still need a recommendation but Rennsport Motor Works in Hackensack is run by long time club friend Sal Puleio.

Mike,
I'll take the timing belt - getting to be time to change mine. Also, if by chance you have a functioning oil level sensor that was on the bottom of that oil pan, I'll take that too. Any chance of a heater blower motor?

Of course we will be there with the iX in the Vintage Class but Art's M3 is just too perfect.

Re: CCA chapters starting to ban driver assist cars from DEs
For anyone who attended our event at Thunderbolt last weekend, you noticed that we have not adopted any new restrictions on the cars we accept to our schools (sorry, still no convertibles). Our beginner and first-time run groups were filled with new M3s and M4s and we welcomed them. These driver ass...

Thanks to Vic Jr., Paul, Doug and everyone who contributed to making a great banquet last night. Thanks also to all our sponsors. Special thanks go to Bridgewater BMW and BMW of Tenafly for the donation of the bikes - the funds raised for Westlake School will be much appreciated.

Re: Are 986 Boxsters allowed for HPDE?
Let me add that we would allow a Spec Boxter but that would also have a full cage, logbook and a bolted-on hardtop. So, again, not what you are looking for in a car that is primarily driven on the street. We understand your dilemma. Rollovers in a DE are extremely rare but they can and do happen so ...

Re: DE plans for 2017
Alex, We will have pricing up soon. There are a number of variables that enter into pricing including rental rates on the day and how many cars are put into each run group. Rental rates for all the tracks we run have gone up this year. GVC only runs at Watkins Glen so there is no comparison there. P...

Need a holiday gift idea?
Remember that Snell2005 helmets will no longer be accepted at NJ chapter driving events. A gift certificate for a new helmet would be the perfect holiday gift. Nothing says "I care about you and your head" more than a new helmet.
Have a fun and safe holiday season everyone.
