It could be simple or it could be a big can of worms. Do you know why it has a salvage title? I don't know who'd tackle this without knowing why.

By the way, it looks like a convertible to me.

Good luck with it!

There are some good shops in our area (You are right up the road from my dealer). It is going to be tough to find someone to tackle that. You are looking at a lot of troubleshooting, diag, trial and error, and tracing of wires. It will help the mechanic if you can find out what caused it to have a salvage title (accident? Flood?). I can offer some help over the phone if you need..

Thanks for the reply guys, appreciate your time.

Well to be complete honest, I do not know exact reason for the salvage title, but from looks of it, it has been in accident as there traces of welding, when opening hood between fender. Does't seem like it has been flooded, or anything like there.

Im going to have to be completely honest with you.. This sounds like a major project that will consume loads of your time and money. Unless the car is free, it might not be worth investing money into. Once you are done spending 10K to get it fixed up, you end up with a car that is worth very little because of the Salvage title. If you don't already own it, I would pass on it. If you do own it, I would try to resell for what you paid and move on. I am only basing this on the info you provided.

Sounds to me like Tim is offering you sage advice.

If you do get someone to look at it, be sure that someone has a scanner/computer that can do a COMPLETE scan of the whole vehicle [AKA quick test], not just the P-codes [powertrain codes] that you have cited.
