I am under the impression that the 18's from the Z4 will fit the e36. I have 18's for my e46 with 225/40's that I use for summer. I believe the e46/e36 is 100% interchangable (excluding M3). When I purchased my 18's, I made sure they would fit Z4's as one would likely be in my future. If you have a wider tire like a 255, make sure you've got 255/35. For the front of an e36, I think the max width is 225. For the M3 I believe it was 235. For the rear, I'm uncertain, but believe 225-235 would be appropriate as long as the sidewall measurement was appropriate. I'm sure you could fit as much as a 255 in the rear of an e36, but don't quote me on that.

It's highly unlikely that they'd fit the e30, but honestly, I don't have an answer.

Good luck!
