E30 Headlight Screw - Size?
E30 Headlight Screw - Size?
Does anyone know the size or part number of the phillips head sheet metal screws used to hold the E30 headlights to the body? I can't find it on the ETK, and haven't found anything locally that fits quite right.
Thanks in advance!

Re: E30 Headlight Screw - Size?
I think I know the screw. I had to replace on the RR.cfaust wrote:Does anyone know the size or part number of the phillips head sheet metal screws used to hold the E30 headlights to the body? I can't find it on the ETK, and haven't found anything locally that fits quite right.

Not 100% but I believe it's item 4

Metric 3.9x13 self tapper. If it is, you should be able to substitute for the more common No 8 x 0.5"
I'll double check when I get home.

Chris, It's a 1/4 sheet metal screw 3/4"L. If you really want it Philips head order it from pelican et al.
Best I could find that you might find in a good hardware store:

grrr.. don't remind me..
Thanks Mike/Ed, and thanks for the offer Kev. Too busy with work (otherwise I'd be at the glen!) so I'll probably just order a few from pelican when I get a few other small bits. I've been stealing the parts off the m3 but need to replace them - and no, Kish, duct tape doesn't work on that car.
Thanks again everyone!
